Have you heard of the Tabata Workout? The Tabata Workouts are high-intensity interval training (HIIT) that take as little as 4 minutes to complete. By adjusting the time and content of your intervals, you can stimulate your workouts and arrange a sequence of stationary activity to target every muscle group in your body. It is the go-to workout to complement your busy lifestyle to warm-up you up for the day. In fact, it is total sweat afterward.

Normally they are broken up into 20 seconds of maximum effort and 10 seconds of rest for eight rounds.” which totals up to 4 minutes. The time can be enlengthened according to your fitness level, some do 15 mins and others make it to a 40min. Whichever duration you use, these high-intensity movements will make your heart rate stays elevated throughout, even after a workout.  

Tabata is super i-n-t-e-n-s-e and doesn’t let the short duration fool you. And if you strictly follow the sequence, you will sweat in no time. As suggested by Phil Timmons, a trainer at Blink Fitness, these types of interval training can improve your endurance and boost your metabolism for 24 to 36 hours following the HIIT session.
